COVID-19

At Grassroots Market + Studio we are taking every precautionary measure to ensure the safety of staff and guests to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the Guelph Community. Staff are closely monitoring their health and if they are not feeling well, have been in contact with someone who is not feeling well, or someone with symptoms of, or who has tested positive for COVID-19, are staying home from work and self-isolating for up to 14 days as per Public Health guidelines. All guests are required to wear a mask upon entry and until the instructor begins class.
At the Grassroots Studio, class sizes are being reduced to allow for Social Distancing (Yoga classes = 7ppl, Bootcamps, Strong Nation, Pound & Kangoo = 5ppl). We are increasing our sanitization procedures and being more diligent about reducing the touch points guests have to come in contact with. As of September 21st, showers are closed for the time being. Contact tracing is in effect, however we ask that if you do not feel well, have had a fever within the last 3 days or are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, please do not come to Grassroots Market + Studio. Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe!

Upper Body

Beneficial for all, this targeted class aims to tone and strengthen the upper body through the use of exercises and select props. A 10 minute core focus completes the experience.

Lower Body

Balance out your upper body training with this legs- and glutes focused session created to build and maintain muscle tone and strength. A 10 minute core focus completes the experience.

Water And Iron

A fusion strength and conditioning class for overall total body control – using kettlebells, surge and trx. This class consists of techniques that are guaranteed to strengthen the core, improve balance and increase strength.

Bootcamp

Get your sweat on in this dynamic, full body work-out session of strength training and cardio conditioning. Each class incorporates a fusion of weights, resistance bands, TRX, kettle bells and more to offer an effective way to keep in shape, whether you’re already toned or getting into fitness for the first time.

Circuit Training

The quick and dirty option for those on-the-go! This circuit style training gets straight to the point with a duration of 20 minute circuit time and 5 minute warm-up and cool down periods.

Hatha Yoga

Escape the day by sinking into these rejuvenating postures that allow the mind to fully relax and the body to fully release, with the added benefits of increased mobility and flexibility. All ages and levels are encouraged to participate.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

Classes will offer a strength and conditioning focused workout with an emphasis on intensity. This full body workout will incorporate strength and cardiovascular exercises to optimize lean muscle production and raise metabolic rate for hours post workout. Instructor will modify to suit all levels of fitness.

Vinyasa Flow

A dynamic vinyasa sequence that focuses on strength and mobility. Vinyasa is sequential movement that interlinks postures to form a continuous flow. The class connects you to breath, leads you to a peak posture and concludes with restful stillness. Perfect for all levels, wherever you are in your yoga journey!

Zumba

Burn up to 600 calories in a single class! Zumba is a fun way to get in cardio and improve muscular strength and flexibility all in one class! Carrying out high energy dance moves set to motivating music makes it an exciting way to exercise, so much so that you may even consider it more of a dance party than a workout.

Joga

Joga is designed to utilize and optimize efficiency in positions most commonly seen in functional movement patterns, thus increasing muscular control and mobility into these positions, and also reducing injury rates.

Kangoo Jump

Burn up to 1200 calories a class. If you’re bored of standard workout routine and seek something equally as or even more effective but brand new, then this class is for YOU! Take your cardio routine to “new heights” with this FUN form of fitness that offers low-impact-core-strengthening and fantastic cardio through a variety of exercises from jogging to dance moves in these unique “bouncy rebound shoes.” Everyone from fitness newbies to seasoned gym-goers are invited to experience the positive effects of having a spring in their step – literally!
